Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for a Newsletter, this site will collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other individuals, organisations, or businesses.

We use a three third-party provider to collect your sign-up information for Lynn’s newsletter: Blogger, which are GDPR compliant (or will be by 25th May 2018 when GDPR comes into effect).

We use Atom to deliver our newsletter. Through Atom’s service, we gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails, or by emailing us with your request to lynnsbookreviews2@gmail.com.

Go Daddy is our web host, and collects emails for our mailing list via web forms. View Go Daddy’s privacy policy here:  https://uk.godaddy.com/Agreements/Privacy.aspx

We use Google Mail servers when communicating with you via email. View their privacy policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

Internal record keeping and legal data compliance.
We may use the information to improve our products and services.
We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. How we use cookies

“Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. They help analyse web traffic and allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes.

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

By using this website, you are automatically agreeing to the use of cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website. About Cookies is a fabulous site that gives you information on how to manage and delete cookies from your computer.
