When I went looking for a new editor, Lynn was recommended to me by a good Facebook friend. So after checking out her work and getting a quote, I gave her the go ahead to work on my newest release Revenge. The third book in my Guardian series. Obviously I was happy with the price or I wouldn’t have given her the go ahead to begin with, but I was equally happy with the service.
Lynn was quick and efficient and brutally honest, and I did take on board a few of her comments and suggestions as well as grammar and spelling corrections. Writers are an insecure bunch at the best of times - is it good enough, is the plot too obvious, will anyone buy it, what if I missed some grammatical error, I wish I had a friend who was kind, reliable and competent so that she could guide me through all this.
And luckily for me, I found that 'friend' in Lynn Worton who painstakingly went through my manuscript word by word, made corrections, suggested alterations (and, in one massive burst of inspiration, discovered a better location for one chapter which was proving difficult to 'home'). More importantly, Lynn didn't attempt to change my 'voice' and is receptive to authors' reasons why they think something should not be changed.

I have recently started working with Lynn Worton, she was recommended by an author friend of mine for her proofreading and editing skills. At first, I looked at her webpage, business profile. When I first spoke to Lynn and explained my potential needs and my reservations based on some negativity surrounding the publishing world, Lynn answered all my questions honestly and openly. Now after working with Lynn on several of my children’s books which about to go to print, Lynn has proven to be incredibly helpful, patient and a great asset. Lynn was an absolute delight to work with. She was fast, responsive and gave me regular updates on her progress and her thoughts. Being a first-time author I was worried about giving up my story for editing but Lynn was very reassuring and understanding. I had looked at a number of other editors and found that they were either far too expensive or not at a good standard. Lynn offers an affordable service with excellent results. It is difficult to know where to start when looking for an editor. I scoured through the websites of self-published authors for tips and came across Lynn’s name. I contacted her through her website and received a very nice reply answering my queries. Lynn has been fabulous! She not only puts up with my constant questions but she has done an amazing job with my manuscripts.
